in plain language — "find flights Kolkata to Dubai on 10 September" — and get real-time fares

On the Claude page: Add custom connector → paste (Ctrl+V) → Add. Done — ask Claude anything about flights.
Use Vaanya in Claude — step by step
- Open claude.ai (or the Claude desktop/mobile app) and sign in — the free plan works.
- Go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector (button 2 above takes you straight there).
- Name it Vaanya Travels and paste this URL: https://www.vaanya.travel/mcp
- Click Add. In any chat, enable the connector from the tools menu and ask away.

- "Find the cheapest flights from Kolkata to Bangkok on 5 October" — live fares, airlines, timings and stops in INR.

Vaanya's app for ChatGPT uses the same technology and is being submitted to the ChatGPT app
directory — once approved, you'll be able to enable it from ChatGPT's Apps menu on any plan.

For developers
The endpoint speaks the open Model Context Protocol (MCP): https://www.vaanya.travel/mcp
(streamable HTTP, no authentication for read-only search). Tools: search_flights,
get_holiday_packages, get_travel_guides. Fares are live and in INR; bookings
complete on vaanya.travel — no payment data flows through the AI layer.
Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to search flights through an AI assistant?
Yes — the AI layer is read-only: it can search fares and read our guides, but booking and payment always happen on vaanya.travel over HTTPS. No card details or personal data pass through the assistant connection.
Does the AI show real prices?
Yes, every search hits the same live Amadeus/Travelport fares as vaanya.travel itself. Prices are per adult in INR and can change until ticketed, like any live fare.
Which Claude plan do I need?
Any plan — including Free. Free accounts can add one custom connector, and two clicks on this page set Vaanya up as yours.
Can I complete a booking inside the chat?
Not yet — the assistant hands you a link that opens vaanya.travel with your exact search pre-filled, so completing the booking takes under a minute. In-chat booking is on our roadmap.
